If you're reading this, then you're probably interested in joinning the Howling Forest. First off, you're going to have to read the rules, which is why you're here, so, let's get started. Here I've made a niffty little list for you-



1). Flaming will not be tolerated. No extremely rude, mean, or hurtful name-calling allowed. Stuff like "No offense" or "With all due respect" does not cover it if its still considered flaming. If an admin believes the comment was genuine (not meant as a joke) then they will subtract 15 karma for each flame.

2). Some swear words are allowed, but not encouraged. We trust that you know which ones are inappropriate. 10 Karma will be reduced for everytime you say the "s-word", 50 Karma for everytime you use the "f-word" .

3). No raunchy or inappropriate sigs, avatars, or personal photos. If caught, you will be asked to remove the picture and 25 Karma will be reduced.

4). No double-posting or anything above. There is an edit button so please use it. Only on certain boards are you allowed to double-post, but everywhere else you will have 5 Karma taken away for every double post.

5). Please don't use chatspeak, 1337, whatever you call it. Idk, g2g, ur kewl. This is considered a very serious offense. The first time you get caught, you will get a warning from an admin. If you get caught again by the same admin, you will have 5 Karma reducted. If you use chatspeak while RPing, you will get 10 Karma reducted.

Note: One thing that we'll let slide sometimes is Lol and Rofl. It's understandable that, sometimes, there's just no other way to describe that feeling you get when you fall out of your chair and hit the ground other than- "Rolling on floor laughing." or, in other "words", Rofl (just don't use it while RPing).

6). Do what an admin tells you to do, trust us, we know what we're doing. If you refuse or show disrespect 5 Karma may be reduced, depending on what the request was. If, however, you think the request was unresonable, contact a differnt admin and tell them the situation. If you argue, you may get Karma taken away, even if you shouldn't have, and we can't gaurentee we'll be able to get it back for you.
